Bicycle Rental Terms and Conditions
- Inspection Before Rental
Renter must inspect the bicycle before leaving the premises. Once the bicycle has left the premises, it is deemed that the renter has confirmed the bicycle is in good working condition. - Identification Requirement
A valid ID must be presented at the time of rental. We reserve the right to refuse service without proper identification. - Booking, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
A booking is only confirmed after full payment is received. No cancellations or refunds will be accepted under any circumstances, including early returns.
If you wish to upgrade or extend your rental, please consult our staff during the rental period. - Deposit Policy
Depending on the bicycle type, a deposit may be required before rental. The deposit must be paid by credit card and will be fully refunded upon return of the bicycle in good condition.
• Basic: No deposit required
• Premium: Deposit required by credit card
• Pro: Deposit required by credit card
- Late Return Policy
Full-day rentals are limited to business hours.
Renter must return the bicycle within the designated rental period. Late returns will incur a penalty fee. - Obeying the Law
Renter must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region during the rental period. - Responsibility for Traffic Violations
The renter is solely responsible for any traffic violations, fines, or legal consequences incurred during the rental period. - Safety Equipment Compliance
According to the Road Traffic Ordinance (Cap. 374A and Cap. 374G) of Hong Kong, bicycles must be equipped with:
• A bell capable of giving sufficient warning
• Efficient front and rear brakes
• A red rear reflector and other legally required reflectors
• A white front light and red rear light for nighttime use
Renter is responsible for checking that the bicycle is properly equipped before use.
- Prohibited Areas & Conditions
Bicycles must not be used on footpaths, in areas with poor visibility, or at night without proper lighting. Use in restricted areas such as fire lanes and school entrances is also prohibited. - Rental Restrictions
According to the Road Traffic Ordinance (Cap. 374) Section 54, children under the age of 11 are not permitted to rent or ride a bicycle on a road unless accompanied by an adult. - Prohibited Use
Bicycles must not be used for racing, stunts, or off-road activities. - GPS Tracking Device
Bicycles may be equipped with GPS tracking devices for safety monitoring and location tracking purposes. - Helmet and Safety Gear
Helmets and safety gear are recommended and available upon request. Renter assumes all risks if choosing not to use them. - Respect for Others and Road Sharing
Renter must ride with care and respect for pedestrians and other road users, and share the road responsibly and courteously. - Loss and Damage
The bicycle remains the property of INVIS. The renter is fully responsible for any loss, theft, or damage, and must compensate at market value. - Asia Miles Earning Policy
• Valid Cathay membership details must be provided at the time of rental or before collecting the bicycle.
• Only paid (revenue) rentals are eligible to earn Asia Miles.
• Asia Miles cannot be earned in conjunction with other promotions or discounts.
• Miles cannot be claimed retroactively if membership details were not provided at the time of rental.
- No Insurance Coverage
This rental service does not include any form of insurance. Renters are encouraged to purchase their own insurance based on personal needs. - Disclaimer
INVIS and its affiliates shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or death arising from or related to the use of the rental service. - Force Majeure Clause
INVIS is not liable for service interruptions or damages caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, and government actions. - Collection and Use of Personal Data
The personal data you provide will be used for account or service application purposes. If you register for services provided by other organizations, you agree that INVIS may share your personal data with the relevant organizations. - Right to Refuse Rental
INVIS reserves the right to refuse rental to any person without providing a reason, in accordance with applicable laws.
In case of any dispute, INVIS reserves the right of final decision. - Service Provider Information
